Biophilia Exploration Day

Early in our project design phase, our design team engaged in multiple discussions and meetings on Biophilia.  The idea of designing with living and connecting to nature became apparent that this is the most important concept for the project.  As we became more aware and educated on the importance of Biophilic design, we decided to hold a Biophilic Charette on site on Mar. 29, 2018.  As our Design Team walked the site, explored the history, ecology, spirit of place and brainstormed on engaging important aspects of Biophilic design., the wonderful concept of "Re-Wilding the Eco-system" emerged as a powerful theme to base our design experiences as well as our perma-culture based approach to food production!  Through a very engaging brainstorming session during the day, the following themes became apparent:

Natural Patterns and Processes

Place Based Relationships

Ecological Connection to Place

Our Team has put an action plan in place to incorporate the concept and themes into the design of Green Point. We are so excited to have had this integrative design opportunity!
